Cletus R. Baumann, 84, of Sellersburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. He was born on February 20, 1937 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Clyde and Elsie (Atkins) Baumann. Cletus was a veteran of the United States Navy and a retired outside sales associate with E.I.S. in Louisville. He was also a farmer and avid bowler. He was a member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church - St. Joe Hill Campus.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife of 60 years, Jackie Friedman Baumann; sister, Geneva Andres; and brother, Anthony Baumann.
Cletus is survived by three children, David Baumann, Beth (Brad) Tracy, and Mike (Kara) Baumann; grandchildren, Shawn (fiancé, Chelsea) Baumann, Haley Young and Austin Baumann; brother, Alfred Baumann (Mazie); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation will be held Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Funeral Mass will be Monday, December 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. John Paul II- St. Joe Hill Chapel, 2605 West St. Joe Road, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172 with burial and military honors to follow in the church cemetery.
