Dan Jacobs, 83 years of age passed away on November 2, 2020 in New Albany, Indiana. He was born on October 26, 1937 in Lebanon, Kentucky to the late Ellis and Kathleen Jacobs. Dan was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a 32nd degree Mason, and a retired fire fighter after 30 years serving on both the New Albany Fire Department and Ft. Knox Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Bryce Jacobs.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy “Dot” Jacobs; son, Daniel Jacobs, II; grandchildren, Brittani Reynolds (Landon), Nathan Postlewait, Danika Jacobs, Alec Jacobs.
Visitation will be 10:00 am – 6:00 pm Sunday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His funeral service will be held 10:00 am Monday at the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
