Dan S. Parr

Dan was a native of southern Indiana, an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a retired general foreman from LG&E after 38 years of employment. He was a member of DePauw Memorial United Methodist Church in New Albany and the Masonic Lodge in Greenville, IN.

Survivors include wife of 65 years, Mitzie J. Parr; sons, Dennis Parr (Bev) and Rolf Parr (Susan); brothers, Bob Parr , Clarksville, TN and Harley Parr (Wanda); grandchildren, Cory Parr (Amanda), Carrie Whalen (Scott), Kim Edlin (Kevin), Kevin Parr (Rebecca), Kyle Parr (Jennifer) and Ross Howard (Allyson); and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 11a.m. Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany. His funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
