David L. Anderson, 74, of Paoli and New Albany, Indiana passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Lincoln Hills Healthcare. David was born September 21, 1947 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Charles and Edna Mae Anderson. He was a retired New Albany Fire Chief and the former director of Indiana Emergency Services. David was a veteran in the United States Army serving during Vietnam.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Anderson and Ken Anderson.
David is survived by a daughter, Joy (Ian) Duguid; a brother, Doug (Lea) Anderson; dear friend, Joyce Banet; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Committal service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, March 11, 2022 at New Albany National Cemetery, 1943 Ekin Avenue, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
