David A. Whiteside, 74, died Thursday, February 6, 2014 at his home in St. Petersburg, Florida. David was born August 1, 1939 in English, Indiana to the late Gray and Doris Whiteside. He retired after 36 with CSX Railroad and was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Birdie Whiteside; children, Kelly Johnson (Jeff), Misti Whiteside (Steve Lovewell), Margery Kentz (Doug), Roger Whiteside (Amapola); grandchildren, Zachary Settembre, Brennah Kentz, Audrey Kentz
and Kaden Kentz.
Services were held at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana, with burial at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
