Debbie was a devoted Christian whose life reflected the love, grace, and compassion of Jesus Christ. Her greatest desire was to serve the Lord, and she did so with unwavering faithfulness, humility, and joy. One of Debbie’s favorite memories was how she met her beloved husband, Jon, at Ivy Tech College on June 9, 1987. The college at that time was built in the shape of a cross, and their meeting took place at the center of the cross. To Debbie this was not a coincidence. She saw it as one of God’s reminders that He was writing their love story from the very beginning. They have been married for 39 years, and it was truly love at first site. She loved him and their children with all of her heart. She also treasured her Pastor and Bible Believer’s Church family. She had a special love for children, and they brought her great joy. Blessed with remarkable creativity, Debbie also found much joy in making beautiful things with her hands. Her gifts were more than talents; they were expressions of love that blessed countless people around the world. Her warm smile and friendly conversation had a way of turning acquaintances into lifelong friends. She had a servant’s heart that was dedicated to the work of the Lord.
