Della Mae (Gravitt) Engle

Della Mae (Gravitt) Engle, 87, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022. The daughter of the late Malcolm Tarver and Mary Viola McDonald Gravitt, Della was born December 21, 1934 in Henryville, Indiana. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Fern Gravitt; her husband of 65 years, Robert C. Engle; brother and sister-in-law, Glen and Barbara Gravitt; sisters, Betty Coomer and Judy Thompson; step-sister, Phyllis Waterman; and son-in-law, Donnie Jones.

Survivors include daughters Gail Emmert, Peggy Snook (Bob), Sandy Duffy (Jim), and Karen Jones; grandchildren, Tracy Emmert, Brian Emmert (Theresa), Meredith Wilkins (Amos), Bradley Snook (Brooke), Kate Abbott (Eric), Duffy Brooke Lyons (Savannah), John Jones, and Sarah Jones; 6 great grandchildren; step-brothers, Rodney and Ellis (Phyllis Collins) McClure; and half-siblings, Mary Burchett (Greg), Opie Durrett, and Dan Gravitt (Robin).

Visitation will be 2 pm ~ 8 pm Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be 11 am Tuesday in the Kraft Spring Street Chapel with burial following at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Starlight, Indiana.
