Born on October 17, 1976, in South Bend, Indiana, Dennis was the beloved son of Michael and Carol Horvath and brother Michael (Caroline) Horvath and Tim (Aubrey) Horvath. He lived a life marked by faith, joy, generosity, and a deep love for family and friends.
Dennis shared nearly 30 years of love and partnership with his wife, Cori. Together they built a home filled with laughter, grace, and unwavering devotion. He was an incredibly proud and compassionate father to Gracie (Kevin) Byrum, Glory (Evan) Hafling, Mercy (Gabriel) McMurray, and Landon Horvath. Dennis was also deeply loved by his extended family, who welcomed him as one of their own from the very beginning. His in-laws cherished him not only as a son-in-law, but as a beloved son, brother, and friend whose presence brought joy to every family gathering.
Dennis was known for his contagious laughter, genuine joy, and the way he loved others so well. He had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel like a cherished friend. To his 12 nieces and nephews, he was affectionately known as the “Uncle D,” who was always ready with a joke, a story, an adventure, or a reason to smile.
He loved spending time with his family above all else.
Some of his favorite moments were gathered around those he loved, enjoying a competitive game of pickleball with his community of friends, where he especially enjoyed the camaraderie and even found satisfaction in giving a few playful “Horvath Tattoos,” or taking a ride in his Jeep with the top down and the wind in his face.
Throughout his life, Dennis exemplified kindness, humility, and steadfast faith in Jesus Christ. Even during his illness, his faith remained strong and became a testimony to all who walked alongside him. His life reflected the love, grace, and hope he found in his Savior.
