Dennis R. Smith, 74, passed away on October 14, 2026, in New Albany, Indiana. Dennis was born on June 17, 1952, in New Albany to the late Ralph R. Smith and Irene L. (Lewellan) Smith. Dennis retired from the City of New Albany and was a proud manager of the Redman Club. He was a lover of all cars especially being involved in the classic car culture. Most will say he had forgotten more about cars than most ever knew.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Paul Smith; and his son, Chad Smith.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 50 years; Debra (Ingram) Smith; his sons, Toby Smith and Cory Smith (Jessica); his step-daughter, Karen McClive (Rick); his 10 grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.
Dennis's wishes were to be cremated and his ashes laid to rest at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany, Indiana.
