Don Schmidt

Clarence Donald "Don" Schmidt, 83, of Milltown, Indiana passed away on November 6th, 2024 with his family by his side. Don was born in Sellersburg, Indiana on May 2nd, 1941 to the late Clarence Francis and Malenda Elizabeth Schmidt. He was a retired machinist from International Harvester in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a proud long time member of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in New Albany, Indiana. Don was a lifelong fan of IU basketball. In his younger days he was an avid softball player.

Don is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 38 years, Collette Schmidt; and his brother, Terry Lee Schmidt, his brother in law, John Powell.

Don is survived by his loving children, Keith (Anne) Schmidt and Susan (Rodney) Stephens; his grandchildren, Randall (Nicki) Stephens and Kaitlyn (Chris) Lee; his great grandchildren, Erin, Jaxon, Colton, Aubrae, and Hayden; his siblings, Betty Powell and Larry Joe (Carol) Schmidt; and his nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to Saint Paul's Episcopal Church.

A Memorial Service will be held on November 23rd, 2024 at 10:00am at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in New Albany, Indiana.
