Donald Ray Dooley

Donald "Don" Ray Dooley, age 85, of Easton, Connecticut, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Donald was born in Crawford, Indiana, on October 12, 1939, to the late Harold Dooley and Cleo Longest Dooley. Don worked at General Electric in Louisville, Kentucky, and belonged to Edwardsville United Methodist Church. Don was also a proud member of the New Albany Kiwanis Club. Don loved his family and friends dearly. He spent many mornings with the "Coffee Crew" at Druther's and Dairy Queen in Floyds Knobs. He enjoyed spending birthdays, holidays, and summer vacations with his daughter, son-in-law, and his grandchildren. He loved a good western, a James Patterson novel, and his daily newspaper.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents; and his loving wife, Barbara (Payton) Dooley.

Donald is survived by his daughter, Joelle; son-in-law, Todd Johnston; and his four loving grandchildren, Gabrielle, Matthew, Nathan, and Zachary.

A visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm followed by his funeral service at 2:00 pm.

A private burial will take place at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in memorium to be made to the alzheimer's association.
