Donald J. Kerstiens

Donald J. Kerstiens, 81, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022. Donald was born March 28, 1940 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Joseph H. Kerstiens and Joyce Taylor Kerstiens. He is an employee of the Floyd County Indiana Solid Waste District, Veteran of the United States Air Force and was of the Catholic faith. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Carol Kerstiens Lilly. Don is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Kerstiens; two children, Kim (Delbert) Kerstiens Smith and Michael J. Kerstiens; grandchildren, D. J. Wiseheart, Summer (Michael) Bishop, Alex Wiseheart, Christopher Seidenfaden, Savanna Kerstiens and Amanda Kerstiens; three siblings, Janet (Dennis) Thomas, Bob (Jeanne) Kerstiens and Joseph Kerstiens; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A visitation for Donald will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150. His funeral service will be Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 10:00 AM, Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150 with entombment in Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
