DONALD E. WALKER, 82, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013. The son of the late Ethel (Craig) and Frank J. Walker, Sr., Don was born October 29, 1930 in New Albany, Indiana. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and member of American Legion Bonnie Sloan Post #28 and VFW Floyd County Post #3281. He retired from Olinger Distributing Company and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, New Albany. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frank J. Walker, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Suzanne Marguet Walker; children, Michele Tooley, Martine Wright (Raymond), Matthew Walker (Barbara) and Mark Walker (Roberta Dill); grandchildren, Alex Walker (Katlyn Giancola), Lindsay Smith (Matthew) and Miles Walker; great granddaughter, Khloe Smith; brother-in-law, Jean Marguet (Diane); 1 Niece and 2 Nephews. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. There will be a Prayer Service at 1 pm Thursday at the funeral home. His Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Friday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with burial to follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, New Albany.
