Doris E. Tribbey

Doris E. Tribbey, 91 years of age passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021. She was born July 3, 1929 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Addis and Bessie Lynn. Doris retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield and was a member of First Baptist Church in New Albany. She had a profound love for her family and faith. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James R. Tribbey, and sister, Martha Akers. Survivors include her children, Mark Tribbey, Susan Thomas (Steve), Carol Akers (Brad); and grandchildren, Brittany Schmoetzer (Joe), Adam Thomas, Bryan Akers. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany, Indiana. Her funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
