Dorothy Beningfield

Dorothy Beningfield, 86, of Sellersburg, Indiana passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023. Dorothy was born in New Albany, Indiana on May 24, 1936, to the late Roy and Margie McClure Durrett. She was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a retired cake decorator. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lee Beningfield; two brothers, Eddie Durrett and Jack Durrett. Dorothy is survived by two children, Tammy Beningfield and Dennis Austin and his wife, Lori; two grandchildren, Keisha Kaelin (Robert) and Daniel Austin; four great grandchildren; a sister, Dixie Jeffries; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Dorothy will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 1:00 PM, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150 with burial to follow in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
