

She was born April 26, 1938 to the late Philip and Helen (Sprigler) Andres in Floyd County. She was a clerk at the US Census Bureau in Jeffersonville, Indiana and a sales clerk in the china department at the old Bacons Department Store in Clarksville. She was a graduate of Providence High School Class of 1956 and was a member of the Clarksville Library Book Club and Seniorcise at the Clarksville Community Center. She was a member of two bunco clubs and was an avid bowler. Dorothy was a loving mother and grandmother and always enjoyed lunch with her many cousins and classmates. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sellersburg.
Survivors include husband of 50 years, Earl Bertrand; daughters, Rhonda Bertrand, Julia Faris, Laura Stoner (Micky); brother, Ronnie Andres (Ruth Anne); sister, Donna Whiteley (Jim Costin); grandchildren, Jacquelyn Faris, Olivia Faris, Carter Faris, Phillip Stoner, Helena Stoner, Nicholas Stoner and Rebecca Stetenbenz (Josh); great-grandchildren, Joshua Stetenbenz and Isaiah Stetenbenz. Her funeral Mass will be noon on Saturday at the St. Paul Catholic Church, Sellersburg with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. There will be a rosary service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Visitation will be noon - 8 p.m. Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St, New Albany.
