Earl Joseph Banet (E.J.) passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2025. He was born on December 29, 1951, to the late Earl Lawrence and Aileen Marie Banet. He worked for 57 years for AML Construction as a superintendent.
E.J. was a devoted father to his children, Jacqueline Banet (Trevor DeGeorge) and Benjamin Banet. He also leaves behind his sisters, Earlene Chambers (Don), Jean Banet (Rick Davis), Mary Owen (Bernie) and Judith Weber (Kevin) and nephews, Wes Banet (Brooke), Danny Owen (Jill), Adam Owen (Ariel) and Cameron Weber (Karie Dockter). Additionally, he loved spending time with his 7 great-nephews and great-nieces.
Visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, located at 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana, 47150, on November 6, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Funeral Mass will take place at Saint Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, 5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, Indiana, 47119, on November 7, 2025, at Noon.
