Earl Jordan Wenzler, 84 years of age passed away Monday, October 23, 2017. He was born May 8, 1933 in New Albany to the late Oscar and Jennie Wenzler, and was preceded in death by a brother Paul Wenzler. Earl was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War, retired from L&N Railroad, and later worked as an EMT and a Floyd County Deputy Sheriff. He was a member of St. Marks United Church of Christ, VFW Hobart Beach Post #1693, American Legion Bonnie Sloan Post #28, Voiture 40&8, Redman Club, and was an avid euchre player.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years Ruth (Gosling) Wenzler, daughters, Karen Wenzler and Dana Wright (Mike), grandchildren, Holly Boss Hargett (Craig), Melissa Boss Smalley (Robert), Noah and Carter Wright, great-grandchildren, Rylie, Carsyn, Brooklyn, and Jordyn.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday and after 10:00 am Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Friday at the funeral home chapel with private entombment at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
