EDITH LUCILLE HARMON GORDON, 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 15, 2016. The daughter of the late Elmer R. and Cora A. Hasket Harmon, Edith was born February 17, 1924 in New Albany. She was a member of New Albany High School Class of 1942, NARFE, and L.I.F.T. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Gordon, Jr.; daughter, Patricia Gordon; son, Larry Ray Gordon; son-in-law, Louie Pena; and siblings, Elmer, Pete, and Dorothy.
Survivors include her children, Charles E. “Corky” Gordon, III and Melissa Gordon Pena Soete (J. David); 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and a multitude of extended loving family.
Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be celebrated at 6:00 pm Sunday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
