Elizabeth Louise Edmonds, 87, died Monday, March 7, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital. She was born November 7, 1928, in New Albany, Indiana. Elizabeth was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and VFW Post 1693 Ladies Auxiliary where she served as Chaplain for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Herbert Edmonds, Sr. and granddaughter, Sheena Edmonds Fancher.
Survivors include her sons, Terry, Mike (Malia), and Herbert, Jr. (Jane); daughter, Lois Rohde (David); 9 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany from 2 pm to 8 pm Thursday and from 9 am to 11 am Friday. Her Funeral Mass will be 11:30 am Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Albany with burial to follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, New Albany.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to her church or VFW Post 1693 Ladies Auxiliary.
