Elizabeth “Betty” Farnsley, age 95, passed away at her home on January 4, 2026. Betty was born in Norwalk, Ohio on February 26, 1930 to the late Elizabeth Dorothy (Serry) and Clarence Patrick Clark. It was in Norwalk she met and married the love of her life, Bill, her husband of 69 years. Shortly after their marriage they moved to New Albany, Indiana where they raised six children.
Betty was a devoted Christian who lived fearlessly wrapped in God’s mighty armor. A loving wife and mother she was well known for her sense of humor and delighted in the odd practical joke. She took great pleasure in the simple things in life, the beauty of a flower, birdsong and sunshine’s warmth. Her greatest joy was spending time fellowshipping with family and friends.
Betty leaves behind five children, Julie Quillo (Ron), Brian Farnsley (Diana), Jane Freeman (Tommy), Bill Farnsley (Debi), and Joe Farnsley; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill and their son, Jamie Farnsley.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at Kraft Funeral Service, 2276 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN.
