ELMER C. SEARS, 93 years of age, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011. The son of the late Thomas and Nellie (Ralston) Sears, Elmer was born April 13, 1918 in New Albany. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Julie M. (Atkins) Sears.
Elmer was a WWII Army veteran and member of New Albany 39 F.&A.M.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany. His funeral service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday with private entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
