Esther L. Salkeld

Esther L. Salkeld, 88, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021. Esther was born October 22, 1932 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Harry and Margaret Stephens. She was retired from Willowbrook Nursing Home. She was very generous with her family and extended family and fostered numerous people when they needed help the most. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Salkeld; two brothers, Bill Stephens and Grant Stephens; and a sister, Mary Brown. Esther is survived by four children, Michael Bagshaw (Rhonda), Michelle McGarry, Bonnie Rash and Mychael Rakes; siblings, Walter "Buddy" Stephens, Jerry Stephens and Nettie Luckett; grandchildren, Corey McGarry, Courtney McGarry and Michael R. Bagshaw; three great-grandchildren, Bethany, Jayden and Michael Jr. A visitation for Esther will be held Monday, August 9, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Her funeral service will be Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with entombment at Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
