Ethel M. Brewster

Ethel M. Brewster, 96, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville. She was born September 22, 1916 in Harrison County, Indiana to the late William and Emma Gerdon. Ethel was a retired seamstress from the old M. Fine and Sons, an avid gardener, and a devout member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Gordon Brewster, and 7 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John N. and Rebecca L. Brewster; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Elise N. and Dr. Konrad R. Kijewski; and several nieces and nephews. She was an inspiration and guiding light to her family and had many friends and wonderful neighbors who loved her.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm ~ 7:00 pm Sunday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Monday at St. Anthony’s Church with burial to follow at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
