He was a longtime resident of New Albany, and a retired superintendent from Conrail. Bud was an Army veteran and a member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Minnie Cobb.
Survivors include wife of 29 years, Sally Busam ; children, Kim Cobb (Terri), Donald Cobb (Terrena), Donna Sirbegovic (Jerry), Rhonda Busam, Robert Busam; grandchildren, Jordan, Cara, Isa, Bryce; three great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Cobb (Ruth Ann); sisters, Carol Libs, Norma Deich; aunt, Norma Hardin (Gene).
His funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday at the Kraft Charlestown Rd. Chapel with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. Visitation will be noon - 6 p.m. Sunday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Hospital.
