Francis L. Hardy

FRANCIS L. HARDY, 91, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. The son of the late Lewis and Alma Hardy, Francis was born September 19, 1921 in Kingman, Kansas. He was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII where he served in the South Pacific and was retired from the Kroger Company after 38 years of service. Francis held a private pilots license, flew radio controlled airplanes and did extensive traveling throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandsons, Kevin Lynn Hardy and Christopher Lee Zollman.

Wife of 67 years: Betty Jean (Hale) Hardy

Children: Michael Layton Hardy (Corrine E.)

Susan Gail Zollman (Larry R.)

Jill Alene Hudgins (Steven D.)

12 Great Grandchildren

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Friday and after 9:30 am Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Saturday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with burial and military honors to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana
