Freda M. Jahn

Freda M. (Lori) Jahn, 96 years of age passed away on August 23, 2022. She was born in New Albany on September 7, 1925 to the late Michael E. and Mary Genevieve (Schulte) Lori. Freda retired from the US Census Bureau in Jeffersonville and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany, NARFE Jeffersonville Chapter, and L.I.F.T. Along with her parents, Freda was preceded in death by her husband, Carl L. Jahn; siblings, Melvin Lori, Frances "Marie" Pirtle, Francis "Hillson" Lori, Rose A. Bowman, Irma J. Eaton, Jessie M. Skelton, and infant brother, John M. Lori.

Survivors include her children, Joan M. Rose, Jean M. Miller (Bradley), Mary A. Kessans (Mark), Jerry Jahn (Glenda); grandchildren, Angela Futter (Jeremiah), Trevor DeWitt, Brad Kessans (Linnea), Paige DeWitt (Bri); 6 great grandchildren, Zoiey, Zaden, Ziryn, Christian, JR, Jaxon; sister-in-law, Margaret Lori.

Visitation will be 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday and 9:00 am to 11:00 am Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. A Rosary Service will begin at 4:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Her Funeral Mass will be 11:30 am Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 129 W. Daisy Lane, New Albany, Indiana with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
