Garland R Miller

Garland R Miller, age 71 passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025. Garland was born in New Albany, Indiana on December 17, 1953 to the late James L. Miller and Lida (Spradlin) Miller. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam Conflict. Garland was a forklift driver for Pluto Corporation. His passion was to spend as much time as possible fishing and loving his grandkids. Garland also loved to visit Gatlinburg, Tennessee with family and friends. He was known as an Indiana University Hoosiers and Indianapolis Colts fan.

Garland is preceded in death by parents; brothers, Willard Miller, Ronald Miller and David Miller; and sisters, Karen Bloomer, Christina Cain and Charlene Miller.

Garland is survived by his loving wife, Tommie Miller; his children, Sueann (Billy) Pigg, Garland (Jody) Miller Jr., Kimberly Alton, Lidia Miller, and James Miller; Stepchildren, Lyndsay (Gerald) Grimes and Edward (Carrie) Britt; his sisters, Mary Ann Miller, Brenda Miller, and Ruth Harrington; several loving grand and great grandchildren, and all of his extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana on June 16, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a graveside to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
