Gary R. Beck Sr.

Gary R. Beck, Sr., 74, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018. The son of the late Herbert William and Evelyn Valeria (Green) Beck, Gary was born December 10, 1943 in Alton, Illinois. Gary was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and member of VFW Post 1693 and American Legion Post 28, both in New Albany. He retired from the City of New Albany. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary R. Beck, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Debbie (Reisert) Beck; children, Justan Reisert, Joshua Reisert, Savanah Rall, and Alois “Pete” Warren, III; brother, Robert Beck, Sr.; sister, Mary Klunk (Dennis); grandchildren, Marissya Reisert, Mackenzye Reisert, Makendra Reisert, Xavier Rall White, and Skylen Rall White; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW Post 1693, 1919 Grant Line Road, New Albany, Indiana from 2 pm ~ ? Sunday, May 27th. There will be Military Honors at 2:30 Sunday at the VFW.
