Gary Carl Pierson

Gary Carl Pierson, 74, of Indianapolis, Indiana formerly of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Community Hospital South. Gary was born in New Albany, Indiana on May 9, 1948, to the late Earl Pierson and Mary Pierson Angel. Gary was retired from International Harvester, was a veteran in the United States Army and a member of the United Auto Worker's Union. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Terry Pierson and a brother-in-law, Paul Kaufer. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Edith Pierson; three children, Steve (Tammy) Pierson, Tiffany (David) Hoyer and Mary Anne Pierson; grandchildren, Chase Pierson, Julia Hoyer, Ian Hoyer, Tyler Pierson and Garrett West; two siblings, Earl (Linda) Pierson and Carolyn Ann Kaufer; a sister-in-law, Kathy Pierson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for Gary will be held Monday, October 24, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM with burial in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
