So very sorry to learn of Gene’s sudden passing. He will be remembered as a good and caring person. We were always impressed with his kindness in delivering his beautiful Poinsettias to Jeromes’s mother for many years when she lived alone as a widow. Such a kind gesture that meant so much. Prayers of peace and comfort to Debbie and her precious family.

Debbie and family,

Gene was a kind and good man with a caring, special soul. I’ll always remember him as a young boy who loved flowers and animals. We were two years apart and had lots of fun on the farm when I would visit from Atlanta. I was so glad to see and visit with him and you at Penny’s funeral last Spring. Gene died a day before my birthday. I will keep you and your family in my daily prayers. Gene is with Jesus and making heaven even more beautiful with flowers. 🌹 With my love and condolence, Sue

Three specific memories of Gene....The evening of his first date with Debbie I happened to stop in at Debbies on my way to Borden just to say hello to Debbie. Well, she was all nervous while getting ready because she was going on a first date with Gene Stumler. Second memory will always be how thoughtful he was to often stop in to see Grandma Graf on his way to and from. If it was Christmas time he brought the big and beautiful poinsetta. And the day after Grandma Graf's funeral Gene came to her door to specifically take we away for a little while and go to lunch. He knew I was still in a stuper from the funeral etc. I wasn't hungry and I didn't know what to say but I went anyway because his gesture was so gratious. In a word Gene was a "prince" of a guy. I am so sorry for your loss, Debbie and his whole Stumler family.
