Genevieve "Jane" C. Klumb Hughes

GENEVIEVE "JANE" KLUMB HUGHES, 89, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015. Born April 26, 1926, she was the daughter of John and Florence Smith. She married John Klumb on May 4, 1946. Jane dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who called her “Old Grandma”, which she loved. She also liked sewing for her family and her church, volunteering at Clark Memorial Hospital and church – especially baking cakes for the church picnic and fish fries – and collecting dolls. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, John Klumb and Oscar Hughes; one grandson, John Thomas Williams; son-in-law, Bill Hargrave; two sisters; and four brothers. Survivors include her son, John Scott Klumb; daughters, Jackie Gilliam (Wayne), Mary Pam Hargrave, and Susan Williams (Fred); 9 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 2:00 pm ~ 6:00 pm Sunday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany. Her Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Monday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
