My brother George was great to me I practically lived with him when my husband was away in Vietnam goer a year. I was alert messing with him, giving him a hard time. Once he was on the phone the kind hung on the wall talking to a customer about a job, he was very serious he had on shorts it was summer so I took a razor and shave cream and started shaving his leg he was dancing all over the place trying to get me to stop he couldn’t stop his conversation it was too important. That’s what made it more fun because  he couldn’t do anything about it just one of the fun times we had he laughed when he got off the phone he got the job and he said I can’t have one shaved calf and the othernotshaved I said that’s your problem we had so much fun at his house I miss him so much already he was always so positive love you brother enjoy your new life! My name is Linda Georges young Sis. young when our Mom passed I had to go and live with my big brother when I just turning the next month after Mom passed to 16. My  two sisters were older than I but one had a baby and her husband had just passed as well. my brother George felt the best place to be was with him. So off I went to stay with a brother whom I loved but didn’t know that well,  he was older and married young and wasn’t around everyday as was my other brother and sisters we all lived at home well at least most of them as we came from a family of 13. But he was special he would visit with his 3 kids almost every Sunday. Mom made sure she had Sunday dinner for them. It was a little different for me getting adjusted living with George at first but I got to see him everyday he worked hard so I decided I would cook for him I always wanted to be a cook like my Mom she would train my older sister Marilyn I would stand on the side wishing it was me she would train.I wasn’t a good cook for years. So I experiment on George I cooked him up hot dogs chopped up and pork and beans. he was so gracious about what I had done trying to make me feel at home I told him what I made he said well let’s have some of that and that was what he ate for his dinner. If he never liked them he never told me. Cause he ate it all. I was on my way cooking as good as Mom. George also trained me to drive a car,  was big as Godzilla I kept telling him I can’t drive that beast he said I’m here nothing is going to happen I tried about every weekend  I got it out of the driveway and back in he just laughed at me. George also walked me down the isle he kept telling me you know you can change your mind just walk out that door we are passing. Are you sure I would start laughing and tell him quit we gonna go up the steps and down the isle  don’t get me laughing but he was at the top of the steps before he would quit. George was next to marry caught my garter.He said to who? God sent him Saundra.

What a sweet sweet man.  My heart goes out to his family. He will certainly be missed.

This was when me and the kids came up there to see him. We were eating breakfast and he was laughing about something I wish I could remember but I am glad I caught this picture of him. His smile would light up the room. 

My first wedding that was planned in a very short amount of time. So thankful that I got to share this moment with my grandpa. 

Uncle George will be missed by so many. He was a truly special man. My deepest condolences.
