So sorry to hear about your Dad. I had the opportunity to speak with him a few months ago. He was just the same as he was 35 years ago. What a smile he always had. Prayers are with you and your family.

I have known "Papaw Jerry" for a long time. I work at Parkwood Elementary where Papaw Jerry volunteered for over 40 years. The dedication he showed to Parkwood Elementary was amazing, but even more amazing was the interaction he had with the kids there. He would walk in the building and kids would leap out of their seats to come and give "Papaw" a big bear hug. He was a very kind and giving man and he will be missed. May God Bless his family.
