Gerald William Denkler Jr.

Gerald William Denkler Jr., 69, of New Albany, Indiana passed away May 21, 2021 at Baptist Health Floyd. He was born on July 15, 1951 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Gerald William Sr. and Margaret Brown Denkler. He was retired from Wheatley Truck Service and was a veteran in the United States Marines. He was a member of the VFW Hobart Beach Post 1693 and Forty and Eight Voiture 1250. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Patricia Bledsoe Denkler; and four sisters. Gerald is survived by two children, Bryan Denkler and Emily (Johnny) Reeder; grandchildren, Savanah and Isabella Reeder; siblings, Robert Taylor, Virginia Hampton and Betty Kopp; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road with his funeral service at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Private entombment will be in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
