Gerald Joseph "Jerry" Volpert

Gerald Joseph “Jerry” Volpert, 74, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018. He was born October 28, 1943 in New Albany, Indiana, the son of the late Adolph W. and Agnes Oeffinger Volpert. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was retired from LG&E. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Thomas, Louis, and Jackie Volpert; and former wife, Donna Volpert.

Jerry is survived by his children, Jeff Volpert (Tara), Monica Finn (Brian), Sara Ainsley, and Dawn McGrath (Darrell); sister, Pat Day; brother, James Volpert; grandchildren, Kendra, Darius, Jared, Hayden, and Shawna; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2 pm ~ 7 pm Wednesday followed by a Funeral Service at 7 pm Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Private interment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.
