Geraldine Aloisio
December 30, 1926 – February 21, 2012
Geraldine "Gerry" Claire Aloisio, 85 years of age died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in Arlington, Virginia.
Gerry was born December 30, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Robert and Tillie Watrin Smerz and was the widow of Gene P. Aloisio.
She was a former resident of Clarksville, IN., member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, the K. of C. in Jeffersonville, IN. and was currently residing in Rochester, MN. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
Survivors include sons, Jim Aloisio and wife Peg of Decatur, IN; John Aloisio and wife Julie of Stafford, VA; daughters, Barb Sorochak and husband Sonny Martin of Rochester, MN, Monica Aloisio and husband Ken Kubin of Manassas, VA; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Runberg of Munster, IN, Anna Mae Scahill of Lombard, IL.
Reception of friends will be noon - 5 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany. Her funeral Liturgy will be 10 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2012 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville, IN, with burial to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN. I'd like to extend my condolences to the Aloisio family upon the passing of their mother. I remember her fondly from my years of friendship with the family. Barb and I attended grade and high school together. I hope you all can find comfort in the fact that she is now in God's hands. Best Wishes.
