Geraldine "Nana" S. (Wilson) Walts, age 79, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022. Nana was born June 25, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Emilie (Thomas) Wilson. Gerry graduated from Indiana University with a Master's Degree in Education. She was a retired teacher spending most of her career with Mount Tabor Elementary School in New Albany. Along with her parents, Gerry was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas Wilson, Ted Wilson; and granddaughter, Emilie Welsh.
She is survived by her sons, Brian Welsh, Rob Welsh; grandchildren, Ian Welsh, Sarah Welsh; former daughter-in-law and caregiver, Kelly Welsh.
A reception of family and friends for Geraldine will be held Sunday, August 21, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
