Gertrude "Trudy" F. Peak

Gertrude "Trudy" F. Peak, 93, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022. Trudy was born July 19, 1928 in Litchfield, IL to the late Florian and Gertrude Frey. She was a graduate and proud member of the St. Mary's Class of '42, New Albany High School and Nazareth College. After graduating, her professional career was within the financial systems where she retired from PNC Bank with over 29 years of service. Trudy was a member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church and Altrusa. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Peak Sr. Trudy is survived by three children, Louis Peak Jr., Wilbur (Joni) Peak and Michele (Willard) Lewallen; nine grandchildren, Eileen (Irfan) Javed, Marie (Brandon Carr) Peak, Matthew (Heaven) Peak, Lauren (Josh) Sheeley, C.W. Peak, Christian Peak, Jennifer (Coulter) Woolf, Kasey (Justin Lucas) Lewallen and Parker (Lisselott) Lewallen; and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation for Trudy will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150 with rosary service at 7:15 PM and sharing of memories following rosary. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 8th and Spring Sts, New Albany, Indiana with entombment to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
