Gloria J. (Stroud) Spalding

Gloria J. (Stroud) Spalding, 66, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018. The daughter of the late Lloyd and Zola (Coffey) Stroud, Gloria was born August 19, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a former member of American Martyrs Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, both in Scottsburg, Indiana. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Carl T. Spalding; and a sister, Nancy Anderson.

Survivors include her daughters, Beverly Newcomb (Jim) and Frances Long; sisters, Donna Jones, Phyllis Medcalf, Margaret Stroud, and Cathy Prechtel; grandchildren, Gage, Heather, Alex, Brittany, and Abigail; and great grandchildren, Sonya, Jayce, and Luke is on the way.

Visitation will be 4 pm ~ 8 pm Tuesday and after 10 am Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be 12 noon Wednesday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
