Harold F. McKune

Harold F. McKune, 79, of Sellersburg, Indiana passed away January 14, 2022 at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center. He was born on July 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Marion "Mac" McKune and Evangeline Direken McKune. He was retired from DuPont Chemical with over 40 years of service. He also retired from the US Army Reserves with 38 years of service. Harold was a member of Graceland Baptist Church and was a graduate of Flaget High School. He enjoyed hot air balloons, photography and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brother: William "Bill" McKune. Harold is survived by his wife of 30 years, Phyllis McKune; four children, Joseph McKune (Liz), Julie O'Neill (Tom), Meredith Norris (Jeff) and James "Michael" Mills (Cara); ten grandchildren, Maggie and Katie McKune, Ian and Owen O'Neill, Ryan Trendel (Taylor) , Morgan and Lauren Trendel, Lindsay, Payton and Abby Mills; three Siblings, Kenneth McKune (Liz) , Richard McKune (Darlene) and Marquita Haydon (David); a sister-in-law, Len McKune; and numerous nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Visitation for Harold will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with burial to follow in Abundant Life Memorial Gardens.
