DR. HAROLD LEE SPENCER, 75 years of age, died Saturday, December 4, 2010 at his home. The son of the late Carl and Helen (Bishop) Trowbridge, Harold was born August 18, 1935 in Mitchell, Indiana. Dr. Spencer retired from the United States Navy after 26 years of service and then began his private practice as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. He was also an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Delores (Miller) Spencer; children, Kevin Spencer and his wife, Diana of Georgetown IN, H. Trent Spencer and his wife, Connie of Marietta GA, Brian Spencer and his wife, Sheila of Floyds Knobs IN and Stacy Wilbert and her husband, Bill of Floyds Knobs IN; sister, Linda Mullins of Utica IN; brother, Paul Trowbridge of Waukegan IL; 12 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service and Military Honors will be 11:00 am Wednesday at the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
