Harold R. Von Allmen, age 89, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. Harold was born on May 24, 1935 to the late Edward and Helen (Kranz) Von Allmen. He retired from Ford Motor Company with 33 years of service. His greatest joy after retirement was playing golf and watching golf and the Cincinnati Reds on TV. He also enjoyed spending the winter at his home in Florida. Most important was spending time with his family.
Along with his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his wife Carolyn J. Von Allmen; a sister, Anna Marie Wolfe; and brother, Frank Von Allmen.
Harold is survived by his three children, Tony R. Von Allmen, Teresa V. Hibbs (Earl), and Deanna L. Von Allmen; four grandchildren, Brian Von Allmen (Sarah), Courtney Hibbs, Adrienne Wheatley (Ben) and Devon Martin (Adam); and ten great grandchildren.
Donations in Harold’s memory are suggested to Southern Care Hospice of New Albany, Indiana or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
A visitation for Harold will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. A funeral service will be held the following day, July 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Harold will be laid to rest in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park following services.
