Hank was a special guy. Penny and I knew him from Greenville Christian Church. So sad to hear of his passing. Penny's cousin (David Gibbs) here in Florida is having Christmas dinner with us and we started talking about Hank, only to find out he had recently passed away. We are so sad but know Hank is in paradise with our Lord and Savior. So fortunate to know him. Prayers for comfort for Marie and the entire family!

Hi everyone I have some very special memories of my Uncle Hank. You see, I was the ring bearer at my Uncle Hank and Aunt Marie’s wedding many years ago. I was oh 7 or 8 years old at the time. I remember the day they got married like it was yesterday. I remember when our family was introduced to him (he still had his high and tight haircut from being a U.S. Marine) and I immediately hoped he would marry my Aunt Marie. And my prayers were answered.

Through the years we visited Aunt Marie and Uncle Hank first in Louisville and then in Palmyra. I always looked forward to and enjoyed those visits. No matter what, Uncle Hank always had time to listen to us, play with us and put up with us. Words cannot explain the influence on my life and many others he had. One could only hope that we could be truly good and Loving as he was to all of us. Uncle Hank, there is a giant hole left on earth from your departure that nothing or no one can fill but we are all better having known you in the Living world and we look forward to seeing you in Heaven. Thank you so much, you will be sorely and truly missed by all of us. God bless you and your entire family.

Henry had the most amazing, playful, spirit. He was always whistling a whimsical tune, singing a Monty Python song or just muttering a nonsensical sentence that would just make me chuckle. I've noticed, over the past few years, that I have started muttering those same little sentences when I'm working in the shop or around the house. I will continue those mutterings, and they will still make me chuckle, but they will also bring a tear to my eye (like now, as I write this...). I can also imagine Henry teaching the "Little `Ol Mouse" song (the one that got me in trouble when I sang it for mom) to the angels with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. Semper fi, Brother! You are missed!

I simply can't imagine a world without Henry. His light shines bright, his memory warms us all, and he will be missed so much. When we go to the wood boat festival in Port Townsend next fall, he will be there with us in spirit. My heart aches for you at this most difficult time. Love, Dawne

I loved the few years Hank and I have known one another. His spirit and love for the Lord was always visible and apparent. I loved hearing about his Philippine missionary work and we were able to share war stories about the military. I will miss my friend greatly, but rejoice that he is both out of pain and in the presence of our savior, Jesus Christ.
