Irene Ehalt 90 years of age died Monday December 20, 2010 at Nazareth Home in Louisville. Irene was born in Louisville, then resided in New Albany with the love of her life, Chick Ehalt. She was an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Albany for over 50 years, and a longtime member of the church choir. Irene was a member of Improved Order of Redmen and Degree of Pocahontas, and an avid bowler. She was a retired welder of 20 years at Vogt Bros. Manufacturing. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Chick” Ehalt
Survivors include her nieces, Irene Barker, Ella Smith, and Dorothy Frazier; numerous other nieces and nephews
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am Thursday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
