Irene Louise Evans

Irene Louise Evans, age 92, passed away on January 23, 2025. She was born to the late William and Marie (Adkins) Sturgeon on September 29, 1932. Louise was a faithful member of the Greenville Christian Church.

In her free time, Louise loved dancing, traveling, and shopping. She also loved her dolls and enjoyed making porcelain dolls with her sisters. Louise was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved caring for her grandchildren when possible.

Along with her parents and husband, Jack Dudley, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Evans; sisters Dorothy Vangilder, Edna Chupp, and Delva Scharrer; and brother Eugene Sturgeon.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jack Perlow (Jane), Pamela Riggs, Mike Dudley (Eileen), and Robin Beach (Glenn); step-children, Elaine Evans and Richard Evans (Diana); sister Marjorie Young; and numerous cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews; and companion of 12 years, Eugene Naville.

A visitation for Louise will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana.

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
