The community of Indian Valley at Rough River, Kentucky stands in mourning in the loss of one of their beloved residents, James A. Brannon Jr., age 58, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Norton Audubon Hospital with his family and friends at his side. Jimmy leaves behind his mother, Jackie Schickel Brannon; a brother, Jeff (Christy) Brannon; a nephew, Jefferson Brannon. Also left behind is his most cherished friend, Michelle Witt and her children, Austin, Abby and Ally; his best friend since junior high, Jeff Wenning.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his son, Chase Alexander; his father, James "Jim" Brannon.
Jimmy worked for Ford Motor Company for over 30 years. No one enjoyed hunting and fishing more than he did. Restoration of old cars were a hobby he enjoyed. There was absolutely nothing that he couldn't do.
Visitation for Jimmy will be held Monday, July 7, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday, July 8, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home with burial to follow in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
