65; of New Albany
Funeral services for James R. Craig, 65, of New Albany, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. He died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany.
He was the son of Robert and Francis Scroggins Craig and was born July 27, 1945, in Louisville. He was retired from Jeff Boat in Jeffersonville and Overnight Transportation in Louisville. James was very involved in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and was a member of the Dream Team and Angels of Hope.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Vickie R. Ragle Craig; son, James R. Craig III and his wife, Kelly, of New Albany; grandchildren, Makenzie, Brooklyn, Victoria, Addison and Anthony Craig; sisters, Nancy Kelly and her husband, Grant, Shirley Simpson, and Dorothy Lefler, all of Clarksville.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and after 10 a.m. Thursday.
