James "Jimmy" Hall, age 94, of Sellersburg, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Jimmy was born October 31, 1927 in Crestwood, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Florence Hall. He was a World War II veteran with the United States Army. He retired from the old Lorillard Tobacco Company in Louisville. Jimmy was an active member of First Baptist Church of Sellersburg and a member of the Liar's Club that met at Dairy Queen in Sellersburg most mornings. He loved dinners at Cracker Barrel, the annual Silver Creek High School Thanksgiving Dinner, and caring for his tomato garden.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Bernadine Hall; daughter Jann Hall; and sister, Carolyn Leet.
He is survived by his brother, J.W. Hall; stepdaughters, Shar Kriel and Mary Jo Easley; son-in-law, Jim Lindle; granddaughter, Brittany Takach (Andrew); great grandsons, Lindle andWatson Takach; and nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Jimmy will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
Jimmy will be laid to rest at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
