James "Jimbo" Robert Laslie II

James "Jimbo" Robert Laslie II, age 51 passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023. Jimbo was born in Louisville, Kentucky on October 23, 1971, to Marcella Russell Laslie and the late James Robert Laslie Sr. He was a fourth-generation truck driver and was a dedicated employee of UPS for over 13 years. Jimbo was a devoted member of local 89 and was baptized Catholic. Jimbo loved his family and friends and was always the life of the party. He was a 1990 graduate of Floyd Central High School where he was an offensive lineman on the football team and an avid Green Bay Packer fan. When he was not working, you would find him traveling or camping and enjoying life with friends and family.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Martina Brown and Jacqueline Holcomb; two nieces, Brittany Holcomb and Amy Schuley; and his beloved dog, Lilly.

Jimbo is survived by his mother, Marcella Russell Laslie; a nephew, Matt Holcomb; a niece, Shalayna Hendricks; three great nephews, Nathan, Evan and Mason Schuley and several other great niece and nephews. Jimbo is also survived by his girlfriend, Missy Drury; former wife, Hollie Laslie; numerous cousins and a huge village of friends who loved him dearly.

Visitation for Jimbo will be held Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday, June 23, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150.

Funeral service will be Friday, June 23, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home.
